The wood of the olive tree is especially hard and resistant, which makes it the ideal material for carving and craftswork in general.

Most of my work focuses on clocks made from roots, provided that they are the most rewarding pieces, in spite of their laborious and expensive process of production, especially the cutting and design of the piece.

From the stem and the root of the olive tree, as raw material, I make a variety of objects for ornament and domestic use.

After a long process of natural drying of the wood, I clean and cut several pieces and then I choose the most suitable board for the product I want to create. Creativity and imagination are the essence of this art which nature itself offers us. The only necessary steps to highlight the beauty of the grains are the plane, abrasive paper and varnish. Those pieces which are to become a clock, only need the clockwork.
